Dizzam, Shezilla is back in effect this Friday at Spindig. I will be joining residents DJ Stef and Ryan Poulsen. This time we’re dusting off the vinyl, forgetting serato, and dropping a range of music from nasty rap, to electro and breaks. Get your Cherry Bombs ready. (It’s on the menu!) See you at Butter starting at 6:00 pm. Spindig is always FREE.

It seems the ancients had it right to begin with. A pyramid’s design, with the majority of the weight closer to the ground, allowed early civilizations to create stable monumental structures designed by unique cultures in different parts of the planet. It’s popularity is back and lets face it, it’s pretty awesome to get down with Egyptian and Mayan civilization. Daft Punk did it. Kanye borrowed it, and I think its not a coincidence that its now a hot design and architecture trend. Triangular structure and new technology combined to create faceted products and buidlings. More please.

special thanks to Bryant Rutledge of Lazer Sword for contributing to this and the following posts.
My amazing client Johanna Grawunder was asked to contribute design trend predictions for 2010 by IMM Cologne. She’ll be speaking today in Germany and sharing our collaborative research. I’ll be sharing my predictions and some of our thinking here in the next few updates.
